Freemasonry is the oldest, and largest, fraternity in the world. It's members have included Presidents, Kings, Prime Ministers, Statesmen, and Community leaders. But Masonry also includes truck drivers, janitors, store clerks and possibly may even include your own next door neighbor. What do these men know that you don't? Perhaps you might want to consider becoming a Mason yourself. The following short test is adapted from a pamphlet published by the Masonic Renewal Committee of North America. Answer honestly, we won't keep score.
- Do you believe that there is such a thing as "honor", and that a man has the responsibility to act with honor in everything he does?
- Do You Believe in a Supreme Being?
- Are you willing to allow others the same rights to their beliefs that you allow for yourself?
- Do you believe that you have a responsibility to leave this world a better place than you found it?
- Do you believe that it is really more "blessed to give than to receive"?
- Do you feel that there is or should be more to life than just financial success?
- Do you believe that a man should be a good citizen and that we have a moral duty to our country?
- Do you believe that there is strength in family and that men should strive to be men of "goodwill"?
